Building, breaking, and understanding systems.

B.Tech student drawn to Linux, networking, and the infrastructure that keeps services alive after dark.

Who lurks here

I’m a B.Tech student who learns by building: configuring servers, running my own infrastructure, and fixing whatever breaks along the way.

I care more about how things work than about simply using them. I like Linux, self-hosted and open-source tools, and the path a request takes from the internet to a server.

Right now I’m working through networking fundamentals, C++ and problem solving, and deeper Linux and DevOps practice.

The Grimoire

Homelab

Infrastructure

A self-hosted Linux server that runs my game server infrastructure, and where I practise administration, reverse proxies and remote access.

  • Pterodactyl Panel and a Pelican Panel fork managing several Minecraft instances.
  • Cloudflare in front, a static public IPv4 address, and reverse proxy configuration.
  • Worked through CGNAT, port forwarding, Cloudflare Tunnels and secure remote access.
  • Memory and resource management, plus troubleshooting network and server problems.

Ubuntu · Nginx · Cloudflare · Pterodactyl · Pelican · WireGuard · SSH

Minecraft network

Networking

A multi-server Minecraft network with Survival and Bedwars modes, built around a Velocity proxy.

  • Connected backend servers through Velocity and handled player login with LibreLogin and MySQL.
  • Hid backend server IPs behind TCPShield and Cloudflare, and tried Cloudflare Spectrum.
  • Debugged connectivity and latency problems across the network.

Paper · Velocity · Limbo · LibreLogin · MySQL · Pterodactyl · TCPShield · Cloudflare

PointBlank club website

Web development

Worked on the PointBlank club website, including a CRUD interface for managing event information.

Next.js · React · JavaScript

Bluetooth RC grass cutter

Hardware

An Arduino-controlled vehicle driven from a phone over Bluetooth, with speed control and a relay switching the cutter motor on and off.

  • Wired a motor driver, four geared motors and a relay, and gave the cutter its own 12V battery.
  • Wrote the control program and handled the power wiring.

Arduino UNO · HC-05 · L298N · Relay module

Flask video downloader

Backend

A small web app that takes a link and downloads the video, served with Gunicorn. Most of the work went into request handling and fixing cookie problems.

Python · Flask · yt-dlp · Gunicorn

Currently brewing

Networking and CCNA

In the cauldron

Working through a structured course alongside the Cisco CCNA 200-301 syllabus: routing, switching, VLANs and troubleshooting. Not certified yet.

C++ and problem solving

In the cauldron

Arrays, strings, recursion, STL, basic number theory and complexity, working towards Codeforces-style problems.

Linux and DevOps

In the cauldron

Going deeper on server administration, Docker and automation.
